I've always been amazed by anyone who can play the guitar.
And anyone born in Deep Gap, North Carolina, probably has music pouring of his ears.
Doc Watson is one of the best guitar players in America. He has put out 29 albums of his own music, and 4 more as a member of the Watson Family. There have been 23 compilations albums of his music put together through the years.
He is a revered musician. Doc Watson has 7 Grammy awards on his mantle - despite only having 2 of his singles ever crack the top 100 on the country charts.
One of the world's best "flatpick" guitar players, Doc Watson was elected into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Honor and was awarded the National Medal of the Arts from President Clinton.
Please enjoy "Black Mountain Rag" by Arthel Lane "Doc" Watson.
Have a great weekend.
